Lord Let Me Die Climbing
It says in the Bible
When you’re going thru trials
Be patient and wait on the Lord.
He'll renew all your strength
You'll fly an Eagle
Going higher than ever before.
But lately this valley
Has been long and dusty
And it seems like my backs’ to the wall.
So down on my knee's, I came here to plead.
Praying Lord I can’t wait anymore.
Lord let me die climbing
Not in a valley or a desert waste land
There's a mountain over on the horizon
Where by faith on the top I will stand
It's dark and lonely down in this valley
But the glow of the cross leads the way
And if I die here today I just want to say
Please Lord let me die climbing
Abraham took his
Precious son Isaac
And he walked up the great hill of life
Like Jesus in faith
He lived day by day
Trusting in the Lord to provide
With the burden of knowing
The sacrifice growing
Jesus climbed up that steep grade to death
With the thorns on His head
He took my place there instead
Lord let me die climbing like him
Repeat chourus
And if I die here today I just want to say.....
Please Lord let me die climbing
